Anahita Foroozmand
Hello, I am a Grade 10 Student at Dubai American Academy and I recently found my passion in Medicine. Once I figured out this was a field I was interested in, I found opportunities where I could expose myself to the field such as internships and educational courses. I wanted to gain as much insight into the commitment required to study Medicine as I could, and I am still exploring, but now I would like to help others do so as well which is why I wanted to begin this society along with the colleague Chloe! My aim is to prepare students in my community for medical school and expose them to some of the skills and ways of thinking that will bring them success in their career, all the whilst expanding on my own knowledge as well.

Hi, I am a Grade 10 student studying at Dubai American Academy. I found my interest in medicine through inspiration from a doctor and my fondness for biology. Hence, I began this club with Anahita as a way to inspire others considering the field and share my curiosity about the subject. I also recognize that medicine is a continuous learning process, no matter how long you’ve been in the field. So, I consistently educate myself on these topics, whether it’s through courses or internships, and I am excited to share this information with members of our club in fun, interactive ways!
OUR AIM
As aspiring Medical students, we have been navigating the pathway to Medical School since the day we decided we were interested in the field. Navigating University applications is often stressful, and preparing for Medical School is another challenge within itself. We have endured the stress, doubts, second-thoughts, and imposter syndrome as we wondered what we should do to become the Doctors of tomorrow. Throughout our journey, we were looking for a platform which integrated everything we needed: Extracurricular opportunities for Medicine, Tips for Medical School, Connections with Doctors and High School students with the same interests, and clinical skills we could work on. This website is meant to be the epitome of everything we believe High Schoolers want and need to prepare for Medical School. We hope that as you navigate your journey along with Scholars in Medicine, you will get closer and closer to reaching your aspirations!
